The Consortium of Climate Change has engaged the House of Chiefs to participate in raising awareness on agro ecology. The House of Chiefs and Civil Society convened at Mulungushi International Conference Centre on the need for communities to practise sustainable agriculture.
The call has been made amidst the realisation that majority of the affected people are in the rural communities whose jurisdiction falls under the Chiefs. It is envisioned that through the Chiefs leadership and participation, the level of awareness and adoption of sustainable agriculture practices will be heightened and help restore biodiversity and cultural heritage.
