JICA’s Market-Oriented Rice Development Project (MOReDeP) in collaboration with YANMAR, a renowned Japanese company that manufactures agriculture equipment and machinery conducted practical training sessions for 8 Zambia Agriculture Research Institute (ZARI) staff on how to operate and maintain agriculture equipment such as power tillers for paddy rice fields, mini combine harvesters and small rice milling machines. The said agriculture machinery will be handed over to several ZARI research stations. Therefore, it was important to conduct the training for the ZARI staff to build their capacity.
